Cake Smash - Marcus - Fairfield County Photographer, Ct
I had the pleasure of photographing Marcus when he was born and, as I always say, time goes by so fast!
He came over again when he was a little over 1 year old to take new photos, and we had a lot of fun.
The theme chosen was Woodland. In addition to the traditional animals, his Mom asked to add the eagle, as it has a special meaning for the family.
Marcus wasn't in a great mood when he arrived at the studio but I tried to make him as comfortable as possible before starting the photo shoot.
We started with the white setup and included some wooden toys. We gave him something to eat and started the photo shoot. We got him to smile and play around.
We switched to the wooden setup and gave him a wooden toy cake.
Finally, it was time to take the most elaborate photos in the Cake Smash themed scenario. First, I took pictures of him without the cake. He was super happy and loved the animals we used in the scenery.
Afterwards, we added the cake and it was time for the mess to begin.
He was soon touching the cake and already wanted to play with the decorations on top of the cake. But as we all know very well, children can switch moods very quickly, so he alternated between crying and eating cake throughout the rest of the photo shoot. And that part was really fun.
In the end, the shoot was a success and the photos turned out wonderful, as you can see below.
